Michael and Christopher Payne have separately – and in partnership –
undertaken a range of projects from published books and research reports to exhibits and presentations.
YF Research has produced house and building histories, family and genealogical studies, documentary films, and background studies for museum and historic site exhibits and programs. In addition, Christopher Payne maintains a personal practice as a videographer and installation artist, and has considerable experience as a camera operator, editor, and doing sound recording.
Clients include the Royal Alberta Museum, Fort Edmonton Park, Parks Canada, Alberta Historic Sites Service, and numerous smaller community museums and organizations. They have also undertaken commissioned work for individual clients ranging from promotional audio-visual projects to books and family and building histories.
