I lived for many years in this house in the Groat Estate area of Edmonton without knowing much about it other than it was an older house in a pleasant residential area. While working at the City of Edmonton Archives I was inspired to do some research on the house and neighbourhood and was surprised by just how significant many of its residents were in the development of both the city and the province. Just another example of how every house has a story to tell.
